Promoting reliance on sustainable solutions, funded by UNICEF and implemented by Taybah Foundation for Development, within the Emergency Response Program - Water and Environmental Sanitation.
Taybah Foundation for Development implemented the installation and operation of the Al-Aloom Water Project / Al-Mawasit District - Taiz Governorate, through two integrated solar energy systems.
The project, which came as an emergency response to the appeals of the people and the concerned authorities in the district, will contribute to improving water access to the people of Al-Aloom, which will benefit approximately 26,582 beneficiaries.
The project consists of two integrated systems, the first for Al-Ganah well, and the second is an integrated solar system for the project’s storage tanks, as this project covers a large part of the water need in the district.
In the first phase, in Al-Ganah well a system with a capacity of 68,670 watts was installed with 126 solar panels.
The second phase was for the storage tanks, where a 55,000-watt system was installed with 100 solar panels.
